Welcome to 'Bonding With Baby'
Hello! I am Laura Henderson - a Certified Infant Massage Instructor and a Rhythm Kids Teacher - and the founder of ‘BONDING WITH BABY’. In 2011, I set up my small local service in Aberdeen, Scotland, running one day per week. 13 years on... I have been able to provide my Parent Education courses in INFANT MASSAGE and RHYTHM KIDS to over 4,000 parents with babies in and around Aberdeen City & Shire. I believe in the importance of parents supporting each other & offer small-group courses across various venues, with the hope that parents can meet other parents with babies in their local area.
On my 'Bonding With Baby' courses, I invite parents to 'Come relax & have fun with your little one'. Each 'INFANT MASSAGE' and 'RHYTHM KIDS' Course is baby-led and designed to be supportive and relaxing for parents to attend, therefore if your baby has any needs during class, such as feeding; changing; soothing, I ask that you respond to their needs how you would at home. Both courses:
- are parent-based education programmes - teaching parents skills which develop over the 6 week course and enhance the quality of time we spend with our baby (or babies!) at home
- provide relevant parenting & local information to support what we learn in weekly sessions
- empower parents to provide nurturing touch with regular practice at home from the early weeks......and for years to come!
In 2015, I was ecstatic to hear that 'BONDING WITH BABY' had been NOMINATED & VOTED FOR BY LOCAL PARENTS at the 'What's on 4 Junior' International Awards and on attending the Awards Ceremony I WON THE BEST POST-NATAL ACTIVITY IN THE UK!!! The excitement continued in 2016 as local parents Nominated me again in the 'Best Pre/Post Natal Activity' category' and in 2017, after being named the WINNER of the 'BEST BABY/TODDLER CLASSES' in Aberdeen's 'Raring2go' Magazine, I was also announced as the WINNER in the 'What's on 4 Kids' Awards' as the 'BEST INDEPENDENT ACTIVITY in SCOTLAND / N.Ireland'!!! I have continued to receive nominations throughout recent years and this year, I was excited to hear I have been NOMINATED as the BEST LOVED BABY ACTIVITY in the What's on 4 Kids Awards 2024.
